Trust Yourself

Being a still-newish Mom, I'm racked with the fear of making mistakes daily. If I'm being completely honest and realistic, it's probably more like hourly. As Little Leighton has grown the past almost eight months, my fears, though still present, have changed. What started out as:

Is she breathing?

Is she getting enough to eat?

Why is she randomly crying?

Am I'm putting this diaper on correctly?

Has become:

Is she developing on track?

Why won't she sleep consistently?

Should I have her in some type of educational class?

Should she be talking by now?

I'm a worrier. Plain and simple. In the early days of navigating this motherhood journey, ELC emailed me this quote from Real Simple. I hope someday LL knows I have enough faith in her for the both of us. Just like I know my incredible Mom has faith in and for me. Thank you, ELC, for lifting me up -- picking me up -- believing in me -- encouraging me -- and helping me trust myself. I love you!

Thank you, Kacy! I'm truly the lucky one -- to have them! And I'm equally blessed to count you as a dear friend. I hope you know how much your encouragement has meant to me. I'm thoroughly enjoying my "Jesus Calling" book -- very uplifting!

Oodles of love to you and your girls!
